This is literally a masterpiece, the composition, the transitions, the world class playing of each instrument is just incredible. Even just the drums and bass are fascinating, let alone the guitar work. 4:07 I always hear this part as like it could've been an ending, then you just get absolutely pummeled with all the madness and beauty that follows! Fredrik is, in my opinion, the most versitale metal player around. I just can't get enough of his playing!! He does not get the appreciation he deserves. Have you actually heard what he's doing on the guitar in Opeth?! Mindblowing!! But the Gibson SG is the ugliest electric guitar ever made....... God I do hate it!! Angus Young guitar..... Bring on the PRS!!

Don't think I'll ever get to see Opeth in my lifetime. As someone who has listened for decades.. I've still never seen an Opeth concert. They've not came to St. Louis (or Saint Charles) Missouri. If they had, it was when my mom had cancer and I couldn't attend. Maybe one day.. yet, guessing Opeth is another all-time fave band I will never get to see..

I once would say Opeth was my favorite band..but the last album I really loved was Watershed. Everything after that (except a few songs from Heritage) was just not my cup of tea. For me, it's Oldpeth or Nopeth.
